RAF Coltishall

Below is a selection of images taken in 2005 and 2006 from this famous airfield. Sadly RAF Coltishall closed on 1st April 2006 and is greatly missed by lots of aviation enthusiasts. The base itself offered fantastic opportunities to get extremely close to departing and returning aircraft, especially when runway 22 was in use. The remaining Jaguar fleet (6 squadron) is now based at RAF Coningsby. However, the Jaguar is due to retired officially in October 2007, another blow to aviation photographers in the UK. Geoff H.
